Westchester Children’s Association Convenes a “Judging Children as Children” Breakfast

Posted: April 8th, 2013 | by Yuval Sheer

On March 22, 2013, approximately 200 public officials, community civic leaders, law enforcement personnel, and youth service professionals from throughout Westchester County attended a breakfast organized by the Westchester Children’s Association. During the session, Judge Corriero discussed the impact of New York’s low age of criminal responsibility on youth 16 and 17 years of age arrested in Westchester County.

In the coming months, NYCJJ and the Westchester Children’s Association will continue to collaborate and organize events that will inform the Westchester community about the necessity of raising New York’s age of criminal responsibility.

We extend our thanks to Cora Greenberg, Executive Director of the Westchester Children’s Association, and to Deputy Director Allison Lake. We are grateful for their commitment and efforts in convening Westchester’s key stakeholders, in order to further the mission of raising New York’s age of criminal responsibility.
