Judge Corriero Speaks at Families Together in New York State — 2012 Legislative Awareness Day and Luncheon

Posted: February 16th, 2012 | by Yuval Sheer

On February 14, 2012, Judge Corriero addressed an audience of several hundred New Yorkers who traveled to Albany to meet with legislators and share ideas on improving outcomes for children and families throughout the state. The event was organized by Families Together in New York State, a statewide, family-governed, non-profit organization founded by individuals concerned about children’s services in New York State and across the nation.

Judge Corriero informed those assembled about Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman’s proposal to raise the age of criminal jurisdiction in New York for non-violent offenses. He encouraged parents across the state to support the chief judge’s proposal, as it is a significant first step to achieving a model of justice in New York that treats children as children.
