Proskauer Rose LLP’s Pro-Bono Program Represents NYCJJ

Posted: February 14th, 2011 | by Yuval Sheer

Proskauer Rose LLP, a law-firm with a long standing commitment to public service and a robust Pro-Bono program, has agreed to act as the New York Center for Juvenile Justice’s Pro-Bono legal counsel.

Under the leadership of Litigation Partner Margaret Dale and with the guidance of Corporate Partner Jon Oram, a team of Proskauer associates which includes Jean Clemente, Camilo De Guzman, Neill Gorman, Stacey Klein, Matthew Obernauer, and Jenifer deWolf Paine, has been providing the Center with instrumental research and analysis of the legal and practical ramifications of the practice of trying children as adults, and has been advising the Center through its incorporation process.

We want to thank Marnie Berk, Director of Pro-Bono Programs at the New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and Heidi Kim, NYLPI’s Clearinghouse Program Associate for introducing us to Proskauer. We also want to thank Stacey O’Haire Fahey, Proskauer’s Firmwide Pro Bono Counsel for giving the Center a home at her program.
